With 1.8 million Canadians affected by ADHD, it’s important for pharmacists to have a strong understanding of this common condition. In this course, participants will work through patient case studies they may encounter in routine pharmacy practice, and learn how to optimize care and provide an excellent patient experience. Participants will learn how to identify and address common drug therapy challenges, and will gain strategies to minimize stigma around ADHD. They’ll also learn how to develop drug monitoring plans for patients to help ensure therapeutic success.

  • Identify common drug therapy problems for individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Develop pharmaceutical care plans, including recommendations to resolve drug therapy problems for individuals with ADHD
  • Create monitoring plans for patients with ADHD
  • List strategies to challenge ADHD stigma in the pharmacy environment
