This service is intended to support Ontario healthcare professionals only and provides information specific to preventing and treating COVID-19 and influenza, as well as the prevention of RSV and pneumococcal disease. The service is staffed by registered pharmacists from 10 am-6 pm, 7 days per week. To access the service, call 1-888-519-6069 and leave a message. A pharmacist will call you back within 2 hours.

OPA’s Respiratory Illness Support Line is a consultation service for healthcare professionals who seek expert guidance on COVID-19, influenza, RSV, and other respiratory illnesses. It provides jurisdiction-specific advice on eligibility criteria, vaccination recommendations, patient red flags, therapeutic appropriateness, dosing, and interaction management. The service aims to enhance patient care through comprehensive support and system navigation resources. 

The support line is staffed by experienced registered pharmacists.

This service provides Ontario vaccinators and prescribers with a dedicated resource to assist with timely, evidence-based clinical decision-making support.
