Who can use the Respiratory Illness Support Line?

The Respiratory Illness Support Line is available to licensed pharmacists, physicians and other healthcare professionals practicing in Ontario. It is designed to support clinicians in the prevention of and managing patients with respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19, post-COVID condition, influenza, RSV, and pneumococcal disease. Whether you’re in primary care, urgent care, telemedicine, or a specialty setting, the line offers timely, guidance tailored to Ontario protocols.

You can ask clinical questions related to respiratory illness management, including vaccine eligibility and timing, antiviral prescribing, co-administration protocols, and therapeutic appropriateness. The Support Line is intended to help you prepare for patient visits and make informed decisions aligned with Ontario guidance.

Yes. All inquiries to the Respiratory Illness Support Line are handled with strict confidentiality. No Patient-identifying information is required, and your professional details are not shared or stored beyond the scope of the call.

The Support Line operates 7 days a week, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (ET). When you call, you will leave a message with your contact information (Name, phone number) and you will receive a callback within 1-2 hours.

If you miss a callback, the pharmacist will attempt to reach you again. You may also call back at your convenience and leave a new message. Our clinicians prioritize timely follow-up to ensure you receive the guidance you need, when you need it.
