Michael Nashat is a pharmacist, healthcare executive, and strategic advisor with over 20 years of experience across pharmacy operations, specialty pharmacy, compounding, and drug-plan strategy. As Managing Partner of multiple pharmacies, he plays a leadership role in financial, regulatory, and operational activities to support innovation and sustainable patient care.
Michael co-founded OnPharm United and currently serves on its Board, with responsibilities in finance and advocacy efforts that support nearly 600 independent pharmacies across Canada. His contributions help strengthen the voice of community pharmacy and advance patient access.
He previously served on the Board of the Ontario College of Pharmacists and on the Ministry of Health’s Pharmacy Council, where he was involved in shaping provincial policy and regulatory frameworks.
Michael is also the co-founder and former CEO of TerrAscend Corp (TSX: TSND), where he helped launch the first cannabis company operating across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. His earlier experience includes work with Bristol Myers Squibb, Rutgers University, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, with a focus on neuroscience and medical strategy.
