Deadline to apply to the Allied Health Professional Development Fund (AHPDF) is March 2, 2020
The Ministry of Health will be winding down the Allied Health Professional Development Fund (AHPDF) as of March 2, 2020. Any claims submitted after this date will not be considered for reimbursement. Note that claims submitted prior to March 2, 2020 will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. The AHPDF has been a useful tool that has provided countless pharmacists with support for their continuing education. Last year, OPA as well as other allied health partners worked with the Ministry to extend the program to March 2020 in the hopes of extending it even further. As of January 1, 2020, the Ministry determined that the fund would not be retained in its current form, and that it would be conducting a review of its clinical education investments this year. Going forward, the Ministry will work with all allied partners in the design of any future programs.
Please see the AHPDF website for more details.
