Conflict is a reality of everyday practice and poses a challenge for many pharmacists and other pharmacy staff.  The Interprofessional Relationship and Conflict Management in Primary Care online module addresses principles for effective conflict management and provides participants with the opportunity to reflect upon their own strategies in handling conflicts in their practice.

This presentation received great uptake at OPA’s Conference 2016.

Learning objectives  

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how conflicts in primary care develop and escalate
  • Describe strategies for managing and de-escalate conflicts in primary care
  • Reflect upon personal conflict management style and barriers/facilitators to conflict management
  • Discuss strategies for effective communication in primary care

The Interprofessional Relationships and Conflict Management in Primary Care online module is for pharmacists who wish to gain a better understating of conflict management in primary care settings. There are no pre-requisites for this program.
