Have you developed an innovative program, service or intervention that is relevant to practicing pharmacists? Are you interested in profiling yourself, your pharmacy team and pharmacy while building your CV? Consider submitting an abstract for consideration for the 2007 OPA conference.
Submissions will be considered in the following categories:
- Innovations in Clinical Practice: Pharmacists that have developed a new patient care delivery service or intervention are encouraged to share this with their colleagues. Practices must have been implemented, and have some sort of outcome to describe by the time of the conference.
- Innovations in Pharmacy Management: New pharmacy business management or administrative innovations that are not clinically focused.
- Encore Presentations: Entries in this category meet one of the two categories above but have been presented at another meeting or conference within the past eighteen months. Presentations in this category are not eligible for prizes.
Presentations may be of two types:
- Poster presentations encourage informal presentation and discussion with OPA conference attendees. Poster format is open to allow full flexibility to participants.
- Oral presentations allow a verbal presentation of the innovation and an opportunity to speak before your peers. Oral presentations are 12 minutes in length, followed by three minutes of questions.
Please note: Based on scheduling, you may be requested to change the presentation format.
Review process: All abstracts will be subjected to blinded peer review. The review committee will select presentations based on relevance, methods, results, implications, and application to pharmacy practice.
Abstracts may be submitted online at www.opatoday.com starting November 1, 2006 through May 15, 2007. Notification of accepted submissions will take place by June 29, 2007.
